Subject:SF 4.5 and Jaz drive Posted by: thalliba Date:9/25/1999 8:56:00 AM I seem to get a much smoother and more reliable recording operation on my Jaz drive when i uncheck the "Enable forced write-through on Record (Windows 95 only)" in general preferences. Does this sound sensible, or am i just hiding the problem that I've had with gaps in long recordings (> 10min.). The computer seems to be working easier now even if its doing a lot more caching. Any opinions? Another thing - I'm recording through Digidesign Session8 PC hardware, and while recording in SF the channels get swapped. L to R, R to L. It's OK when i play it back again, so i haven't worried to much about it. Anyone experienced something similar?
