Subject:Clicks at beginning/end of tracks when burning cds

I am experiencing very short (fraction of a second) clicks when burning wavs onto cd. I am taking long .wavs (sets of live music) and cutting them up in SF 4.0 XP to make individual song .wav files. I am then putting them back together in Adaptec's CD Creator. I found a suggestion on SF's FAQ page to NOT save summary information, sampler information, or regions and playlist data. I tried that, but the box to unclick the save sampler information button was grayed out. Needless to say, i unclicked the other two options but I am still having the same problem. Any help would be appreciated. |

If you're using a newer version of Adaptec CD Creator, saving the summary information in the wav file should not be a problem. Another possibility is if you're recording the CD in Track-At-Once mode versus Disk-At-Once. In Track-At-Once there will be gaps in between each track which some cd players will pick up and try to play, resulting in short clicks between tracks. Try recording audio cds in Disk-At-Once and see if the problem goes away. |
