Just curious if anyone has successfully created a seemless loop after they have saved a file in a compressed format such as MP3, WMA, etc? Is this just the nature of compressed formats? Seems to me like some blank space is added to the beginning and end of files once they have been compressed. This kills the seemless loop. Just curious if anyone has had other experinces?? |

Yes, this has happened to me too. Trying to .mp3 a .wav loop keeps adding space at the beginning and chopping the end off! I posted here a while back ('Problem with mp3 audio plugin') but nobody replied.... :-( JMC. www.jmcweb.freeserve.co.uk www.mp3.com/jmc Craig Tothill wrote: >>Just curious if anyone has successfully created a seemless >>loop after they have saved a file in a compressed format >>such as MP3, WMA, etc? >> >>Is this just the nature of compressed formats? >> >>Seems to me like some blank space is added to the beginning >>and end of files once they have been compressed. Well I did get an email from Sonic Foundry... They said that this is an observed problem with MP3 and WMA.. I suspect it is totally codec related and not really the fault of SF... I was told the engineers would have a look into it.... It really would be nice o have it work properly... I think I have also had the same problem with ADPCM too! :o( JMC wrote: >>Yes, this has happened to me too.
