Subject:Ultra DMA ATA/66 vs. WIDE ULTRA2 SCSI

...Just bought a new system (PIII 450 MHz, 128 MB
RAM)...yet still
need a hard drive.

Will an Ultra DMA ATA/66 do the job for high resolution
(640 x 480 minimum) audio/vido production? I plan to use
Sound Forge XP, Cakewalk ProAudio 8, Acoustic Mirror (and
3D studio MAX R2.5, Bryce 4...for those who know what I'm
talking about) among others. Any idea of what would be a
fair price for around 9.1GB (including controller)?

I am especially concerned about dropped frames. Would an
MPEG 2 decoder card combined with an ultra DMA ATA/66 do
the job?
