Maxis Studio Isis from Guillemot - problems -Sound Forge - PC

It seems to work fine with all my software but I'm having a problem with Sound Forge - the play meters are running very slowly - almost 'sticky' as if in slow motion; having trouble keeping up with the audio. I don't have this problem with any other audio programs, including Vegas so I'm stumped. I'm currently running Sound Forge 4.5a. Any ideas, especially Sonic Foundry, Peter Hallar or anyone?
