Subject:what is happening help me please !!!!!

i'm new here so i hope i'm writing right.
for some unknown reason suddenly when i'm recording :
a. the sound comes out twisted.
b. when i look at the wave at the graphic presentaion it
seems to recored on both channels but on each channel it
recoreds on teh top side as if there seems to be data
missing in order for it to do it right.

i know i sound confused but i it very very urgent and i'm
stuck and don't know what to do .

i've installes the drivers over and over again, took the
card out and put it back, check the defenitions but nothing.
when i put a cd it sounds great but the recording is not
there so hellllllllllllllllllp me please !!!!!

Please give us a little more detail like what kind of computer, what
kind of sound card, etc.
