SF 4.5 & CakeWalk 8 trying to sync with K2500 -Sound Forge - PC

I see that you can use CakeWalk to record audio files. I've a few things I can't figure out and I hope someone might be able to give me a helping hand. I was looking into the "MIDI Machine Control" MMC. Found in the "Project Option Menu". I could not get it to work 1. How can I control my K2500 from CakeWalk. I know by MIDI, but whay I want to do is setup a track on CakeWalk and press record in CakeWalk and start my K2500 to play the music without me having to run back and forth between the computer and the K25. 2. Also can I do this in SoundForge 4.5? If so, please tell me how? I'm trying by best to learn my music making tools. Thank You, Kai Wen
