Is 40 bpm really the lowest AP can go ? I always thought it could be taken lower in the preferences > Editing screen. But when I try to go below 40bpm it just jumps back up as soon as I hit 'apply'. I'm scoring a very sad, slow semi-classical piano piece in midi and really need to go about 32bpm. What can I do ? |

In MIDI? Easy. Set it for 64bpm and use every other beat. |

Thanks for the reply, but that's not really a solution here. I already have three midi tracks of about 10 minutes each. I don't see any way I can successfully push the bpm to 64, then somehow stretch the tracks out to double while retaining all the playing characteristics. But please enlighten me if there is ! |

The MIDI Filter : Duration can extend out x2. Select the track, event, or notes on the time line and then set the druation filter to 200% and check the "Change start times" box. Not ideal, but it will allow you to beat the min tempo limitation. Peter |
