Subject:SF stopping while recording

I am trying to copy my old LP's to CD and using Sound Forge
4.0 to record the files. While I am recording, at a random
time (mostly after some 10-15 minutes) recording stops. The
only indication I get is that the level monitoring meters
stop at the level they were at that time. It does not occur
when the volume is at a high level.
I am using:
SuperMicro S2DGU with Pentium II/450MHz
Soundblaster Live (Retail version)
Matrox Millennium G200
Seagate ST39102LW Disc (Ultra II LVD SCSI 10000rpm)
Windows 98 SE
All drivers updated to actual level as specified on the
resp. netsites.

Has anybody a Clue?
