sound forge installation probs (win 95) -Sound Forge - PC

Subject:sound forge installation probs (win 95) Posted by: sero Date:8/5/1999 12:12:00 AM I have a very frustrating problem. I recently attempted to install Sound forge on my system with Windows 95. As I began to install I received a message saying that I had a version of Direct X (direct show) that was a version that is older than 5.2. So, fair enough. I go to MS' site and dowload Direct X runtime version 6.1 and install that. SF still gave me the same error message. So I track down version 6.0. And of course that didn't work. Has any one had this problem? Is the ONLY option upgrading to WIN 98? Please tell me there is a fix without going there. If I could find direct x 5.2 maybe that one would work... who knows? Any help is greatly appreciated.
