Subject:REGIONS AND PLAYLISTS WISH LIST!!!

Hi, Sonic Foundry.

I've been using Sound Forge for 4-5 years. I also use Mac
for assembling audio. I own lots of other Sonic Foundry
products too! My main purpose for Sound Forge is multimedia
(games, etc).

One of the things which is sorely lacking in Sound Forge is
copy/paste capability in the region and playlist windows,
especially the playlist window. This should operate as in any other
Windows compatible window. Ctrl-click to make multiple selections,
Shift-click to select across entries, Ctrl-C to copy, Ctrl-V to
paste, etc.

The reason why this is necessary (for me) is because I will
on ocassion want to move several regions to a new playlist
at a time. There is no way to do this in 4.5, so it makes
for a very clumsy slow time assembling playlists.

There are also times I want to move down the playlist
inserting (pasting) a region between every entry (for
silence/pause, for example). There is no capacity to do this easily as
is.

It would be really cool to be able to export the whole playlist to a
spreadsheet file and then be able to modify it and import it back in.

Capability to print the region list/playlist directly from Sound Forge
would be nice.

There is also currently no support for multiple playlists in
the *.WAV file, either (I realize this may not be supported
in the WAVE file format spec). It would be nice to allow multiple
chunks inside Sound Forge. To Sound Forge users,
it would look like you could open and play multiple
playlists.

These are all capabilities which exist in Sound Designer II,
a much much older program. Unfortunately I miss them on the
PC side.

Lastly, Sound Forge should be 24 bit compatible, please. The
other day I was bringing in 20 bit audio into SAW Pro from
an ADAT XT and I was surprised not to be able to edit it in
Sound Forge, my FAVORITE program which I talk up to everyone
I know in the toy/game biz.

THANKS!
