When I start my Acid 6 - on the bottom there is the RAM usage -
for instance -
20MB/2048

Does this mean that it is only seeing 2 GB of RAM? I have 4 in my system and is there anyway to allow more for ACID 6?
I believe a 32 bit operating system ( windows xp ) can only use 4gb RAM - is that correct? If so - does that mean Acid can use 4GB?

I have a new system -
quad 4
4gb RAM ( high quality )
plenty of hard space at 7200 rpm

and in a given project with about 40 tracks - 10 VST's
it begins to chop up and I cant get smooth playback until i mix down.
I know that I am running a lot of tracks but my work demands it -
Is Acid capable of handling the workload?
I know my that it cannot be my computer or can it?

btw -
I right clicked taskbar and went to task manager - processes and right clicked acid.exe and set priority to the highest I think its called realtime setting - and it still chops up.

AFAIK all Sony apps are not large-address-aware, and therefore none of them see above 2gb. I'm hoping they all will with the next releases

(but I could easily be wrong on them not being LAA)
