PCMCIA sound cards to use with Sound Forge -Sound Forge - PC

It sure looked that way, but I was told I couldn't use it on my laptop because there was no sound card, and there was no such thing as a PCMCIA sound card, so I would NEVER be able to use Sound Forge. However, I have found some PCMCIA cards for sale on the web. I'm confused. Do any of you know what I can do? This is what I found from Eiger labs, for example: - PCMCIA TYPE 2 AUDIO CARD - FREQ. RESPONSE OF 40HZ TO 20KHZ - STEREO MINI JACK CONNECTOR - 16 BIT AND 8 BIT STEREO - COMPATIBLE WITH SOUNDBLASTER, ADLIB, VESA, MPC/2 AND WIN 3.1/95 - 5 YEAR WARRANTY Does this sound like it would work to you all?
