Subject:Problem installing Sound Forge 9e update

When I double click to start the soundforge90e_enu installation, the installation files are extracted and then I get the message “ PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE LOCAL SYSTEM ADMISTRATION PRIVILAGES ON THIS SYSTEM-CANCELING INSTALLATION”

I have a home computer not on a network and I have installed many programs with out having a problem with administrator privilages, I have the problem only with the soundforge90e_enu self extracting file.

I am using XP PROFESSIONAL with service pack 2 on a dell dual core computer

Can anybody suggest a tweek so I can install the update

Are you updating from a previous version? IE installing over the top of an existing installation?
Are you doing a clean install of only 9.0e?
Are you installing from an account with admin privileges?
What I am getting at here is in order to be able to help you we will need a bit more information about your problem.
Please fill out your system specs in your profile information.

Try uninstalling your previous version and then only installing the 9.0e update.

If that doesn't help try right clicking on the SF9.0e installer and choosing Run As...
Then select the following user radio button and make sure you have the admin account selected and enter your password (if applicable) and click OK. Can you install successfully this way?

Another thing that may help troubleshoot the issue is to create another user account with admin privileges. Log into that account either at start up or by going to start-->Log Off and then select the account you just made. On the newly created account are you able to install 9.0e?

I would also suggest that you contact support if none of this works. The information that I have asked about will go a long way in helping figure out what your problem is.
