Hi i'm using Music sudio 7.0 and i'm having issues with inserting soft syths into a work. Do I need a MIDI keyboard for this? If not, how can I do it with just the software?

No, you don't need a midi keyboard for this (although they are quite useful).

You need to have a midi track, and draw in an empty part. Then select "enable in=line midi editing" (push G). This will allow you to draw notes in. On the far left, you have the track part, where you can rename your track, and just underneath that you should find a midi output where you can specify your softsynth/VSTi etc

Hope that helps
