Subject:Converting .wav to .vce or .wav to .vox

I have a client that is begining to use a very sofisticatated telephone automation system that used .vox
files. It includes a conversion utility for changing .wav to .vox and sounds terrible. The conversion from
.vce to .vox is good. I need a utility to convert .wav to either .vox or .vce.

Is Sound Forge such a utility? I don't care about the cost, I just need a good conversion utility.

Thanks

Jay,

I work for a large bank and I am in the process of re-
engineering their IVR application. We use Sound Forge to
edit and convert our voice files and it works fine. I have
a problem however with not being able to convert to vox u-
law...it will only currently let me convert to vox ADPCM
and that is not compatible with our web telephony servers.
Does anybody out there know what I am missing or doing
wrong?

Tom

Vox Studio, which you can use for recording purposes as well, will convert .wav to .vox.
