Subject:Added the 4.5c beta and nearly blew speakers.....

I just purchased the 4.5(a) Sound Forge. I then looked for
any updates. Found the 4.5c update. Did not see that it was
beta (not obvious) loaded it. It immediatly put an
expiration date on my bought copy and also did some
changing in the sound features on my computer. It killed my
Turtle Beach Montego software control and forced control
back to the Win98 sound. Rebooted and nearly blew my
speakers before I could get to the wire to disconnect. Then
it would not let me unload the beta. I had to dig thru the
registry to clean out all references to Sound Forge. Blew
away the directories and started over with fresh reload.
Things seem to go back to normal. Just beware... So am I to
assume that there are no upgrades from 4.5a? Are we going
to be charged for same number different letter updates? I
think the word Beta needs to be more obvious but now its
listed under updates....
