Subject:Sample transfer with Emu E4X

I tried to connect my Win 98 computer and my Emu E4X via SCSI.
Sending Samples to the Sampler is no problem but when i want to get them
into my computer,Sound Forge freezes after a few seconds of transfer and
then my sampler comes up with a message "smdi transfer deadlock"!?!
any idea?
