I am very new to Sound Forge, and audio editing in general, so please bear with me. I am trying to standardize the sound of many speech samples. The volume and tonal quality varies from sample to sample. Some speakers sound sharp while others sound flat. I was able to standardize the volume, but not the tonal quality. What factors affect the quality, and what does Sound Forge have that can be used to standardize the quality? I realize they can't all be the same, but I need to establish a mid-range for all sound samples. Also a consideration, I have a lot of files to work with, so I want to process a batch of files at once. Sorry I can't be more specific with my questions. Please respond if you can give me any tips at all! Thanks! |

I suggest you weaken the quality same amount from all the files. compress a bit 1. normalize all -1 2. compress 2/1 3. EQ them all roughly 4. Normalize 10 RMS will not sound nice, but all will sound same bad. lorie wrote: >>I am very new to Sound Forge, and audio editing in general, so please bear with me. >> >>I am trying to standardize the sound of many speech samples.
