Subject:batch processing audio

I am new to SoundForge, and audio editing in general, so
please bear with me.

I want to standardize the sounds of several different
speech samples so they all have similar quality. There are
many different speakers with varying tones and volumes. I
was able to standardize the volume, but what else should I
attend to? Some of the voices seem flat while others seem
sharp. What are the settings I should utilize to try to
extablish similar levels?

Also a consideration, I have a lot of files I am working
with, so I need to apply these settings through batch
processing. Is there a way to set a mid-range level?

Sorry I can't be more specific with my questions as a
result of my knowledge of audio editing. Please respond if
