Hard to imagine what it looks like, but the first thing to know is have you color corrected or calibrated your monitor so that the colors on the screen are an accurate view of the colors on the video? Let us know. Cin

No, I haven't calibrated anything. And the monitor I'm using is simply my laptop screen.

There are multiple places in VMS where FX such as HSL can be applied (Track FX, Event FX, Preview FX) which could affect saturation. I can't recall specifically, but I *think* I remember somewhere where an FX can be applied such that the user won't see the effect during preview, but it will affect output. I could be wrong, but I figured I would mention it and see if it triggers any thoughts.

If you have the FX plug-in called "Sony (Legacy Plug-In) Broadcast Colors," try applying that to the event. Checking the box "Invert out of range colors" will expose the out-of-gamut areas of the clip. It also seems to pull in blown highlights, but I haven't rigorously tested that.
