I am transferring LP's to CD's and in the process I get a all blue in the Sound Forge window. I've decreased volumes at all settings and still get blue. Any suggestions. Thanks, Zimmy |

What's an "all-blue"? |

The sound volume recorded to the program windows are way too large. Blue was/is probably the wrong description. When viewing the on-screen recording, 95% of the peaks are off the screen. And I can't find a way to reduce the volume input. I'm using a Sony turntable that connect directly into my computer. I can adjust the volume on the computer speakers. Thanks for getting back with me, Zimmy |

Try clicking on the speaker (or similar) icon in the system tray. This may have an input level, or sensitivity, control for your computer audio input. Also be aware that unless your turntable has a built-in equaliser/preamp, it needs to go through a 'phono' stage before entering the computer. If you have too much level, then it is likley you do have that built in. What is the turntable model ? And what computer ? geoff Message last edited on1/28/2008 2:05:31 PM byGeoff_Wood. |

Click start|programs|accessories|entertainment|volume control. Then click on options|properties|recording radio button. Here's where you control the volume coming into the computer. I run the turntable into the phono input of the amp/receiver and finally into the computer input jack. You never want to see Clip on the peak meter. This has been a successful technique for me. |
