I specified the temporary storage folder as being on an external USB hard drive. All was well until I left home without the drive. When I start S.F. 9.0 up, it crashes after I click "ok" to a message that tells me it can not find the temporary storage folder and that I should select a different one. The crash prevents the selection and I cannot run Sound Forge. |

Try holding down ctrl+shift and then double clicking on the Forge icon to launch the app. Then you should get a dialog box. Check the "Delete all cached application data" checkbox and then OK. This should reset any custom prefs you may have set up and put the app back in it default install config (IE the temp folder should be reset). You can then go and set it to a different location if you like. Once I get in on Monday I will try and reproduce the temp folder issue you are experiencing. |

The only way I can reproduce this issue is if you are using the default audio settings (Microsoft Wave Mapper) and there are no Windows audio devices installed/enabled. It's possible that a small subset of ASIO devices would trigger the same behavior, as well. In either case, this will be resolved in 9.0e. J.
