I know this may have been asked many times before but i believe Sony are missing a trick with no Mac versions?

Check this post out also :

I still use an old pc for Acid pro & Soundforge just because its pc only, and would love it to be Mac also.

I know there are lots of loop based sequencers now, and (a few) editors for the Mac, but NOTHING comes close to Soundforge and Acid..

Everyone says try Ableton, Soundtrack Pro etc but Acid was still the first and its ease of use for results is un-rivalled!

Please think about it Sony??

You might want to take a look at VMware Fusion. I run Sony applications in VMware on my PC all the time. This is how I test the VASST scripts that I write in different configurations. There is a free VMware player for the PC, I don't know if there is a free Mac version. The player allows you to run existing virtual machines. Once you have one, you can install any software you want on it. There is a trial of Fusion so you might as well try it and let us know how well it works.

Is this for Intel Mac's only?

I'm on a dual-core 2.3Ghz whcih isnt intel - so can i still use it?

i didnt think I could?

This is why Sony should open up to both platforms - I know loads of producers etc that want to use Soundforge and Acid on the Mac as its so easy to use and top-notch editors, but we still have to have an old PC around to use them...

Petition time ? ;o)

Even if they decided to support Mac OS from this point on, which I'm pretty certain they won't...there is no way that they would support an old processing architecture like PowerPC. You are definitely better off just upgrading to Mac Mini to run your Sony software than hoping they will support a dead platform. FYI, writing this post on my MacBook Pro in Bootcamp, but also use Parallels.
