Subject:Sound Forge 9D Problem Saving Files

I recently updated Sound Forge 9C to 9D because it was available to me. I figured that it would be fine because it apparently fixed a bunch a bugs that "C" had.

I am having a few problems, however, with the new download.

1. Problem saving files.

Let's say, theoretically, that I have a two minute track that needs editing, effects, et al.

I open the file (in this case a 320kbps mp3). Whenever I edit a track, I always delete the white space or dead air in the beginning and end of the file because I like all of my tracks to start on demand with no delays (makes it easier for DJing).

Let's say I delete the white space and add a flanger as an effect.

--Now, saving the file.

When I save the newly edited file, Sound Forge puts its own white space or dead air back into the track (not the same length as the white space I had deleted previously, but it's own "predetermined" length) both at the beginning and end of the track. This is annoying and I cannot get it to fix itself.

Am I doing something wrong and not tweaking a setting correctly or is this a bug in 9D? This did not happen in 9C.

Thanks much,

Keep in mind that this was my first time using an mp3 file to make a remix of a track. I almost always demand .wavs because of the quality. This exemplifies my amateur attempt with mp3s!

Thanks for finding this link, I never thought of searching for the link because I thought it was a v 9.0D Build 433 problem.

Sorry for the mix-up!

Thanks much!
