Okay folks. I am new to Sound Forge.

Put simply, here is what I want to do.

You know when you buy a single, included on the cd is the
song and the instrumental (only the sound but no words). I
want to be able to make that using sound Forge. I wonder
if there is an option that enables you to exclude all the
words from a wave file and only get the sound in the
background. Is that possible?

You can reverse the phase of one side, and theoretically knock out any mono
center panned material, but since vocals are often highly processed, it's
not very successful.

So, in a word, no.

Instrumental-only tracks like you describe are not produced in this fashion.
A second mix is run in the multitrack domain, without the vocal tracks.
