Is it possible to use SF as editor for Wav files in the Akai S5000 sampler
serie. Have anyone any experience about how to set it up, with SCSII an so
on.

SoundForge is not good sending to the Akai...

I've used SF with my K2000 and not a problem, but with the AkaiS3000XL,
it just doesn't work. I've been using MESA and NiceWave to send all the
samples done in SF to the Akai...

Now, doesn't the Akai5000 OS supports for imports in WaVE files? You
should then only need to save your wave files in a ZIP and just import
them in your Akai S5000... If not, there's always a way to transfer
samples
thru MIDI but it will take forever if the samples are very long...

Hello,

I would like to know how it is possible to hook up the K2000rs from Kurzweil to Sound Forge; i knew how to do that with Windows 95/98/Me ,and was aware of the "Unknown Device Problem". There was an article about this problem, but i have not found anything as far as Windows Xp goes; the routine is different. Do you know the exact procedure ?
Currently in XP ( pro SP2 ) there are entries ( 8 of them ) with question marks in Device Manager; i'm able to send sample to the K2000rs but i'm unable to retrie-ve them via the " Get Sample " function.
What is it i have to do in order to take out the question marks in Device manager
thus allowing me to communicate correctly with the K2000rs ?

Many thanks!
