Subject:system requirements?

I am thinking about getting an amd k6 - 3 processor but I
am worried about the amount of floating point calculations
when processing using sound forge 4.0. I know that Direct
x supports amd 3d now! Is this enough?

Get a Celeron. Much better FPU performance.
