I need to switch the left and right channels of a 16bit stereo song in SF 4.0. Just to confirm: the result would be the same as swapping the 2 output cables on your CD player that go to your receiver. I've tried to "copy" the entire left or right channel and then "paste" it to a new blank stereo window - this partially works. The data does paste to the channel I select only BUT there is the normal background that is seen on both channels. What I mean is the (default) "white" background that is behind the (default) "blue" waveform. The data pastes to the one channel selected but the "white" background appears on both channels. This means that when I paste the other channel, it moves the first paste all the way to the end of the new paste, even though I was only pasting one channel to one channel. Is there a way to only affect one channel when pasting to a new window? I mentioned that I tried to copy the entire left or right channel but that does not matter. Any size paste into the new blank stereo window gives the same results. It's not about the size, it's about both channels being affected even though only one channel is receiving data (music). thank-you |

Just use the Process | Channel converter... from the menu. Select "Stereo to Stereo -Swap Channels" and party on.
