Subject:"Cut" and "Copy" icons grayed out in 9.0

Going to Edit/Cut or Edit/Copy still works but the "Cut" and "Copy" icons on the tollbar are both greyed out when I'm editing a file. They were fine in 9.0c.

Can anybody help me get them back please?
