Subject:Recording sound from DVD into ACID

Hi,

I'm attempting to record sound from a DVD that's playing on my laptop into ACID. I use Microsoft sound mapper to select left channel and then hit 'record'. I see the time cursor move but when I stop recording and play back, I don't hear anything.

Obviously, I'm not doing something right..any ideas?

Thanks,
Kunal.

You need to select the Wave Out or Stereo Mix (depending on your sound chip) as the recording source in the Windows Volume Control. Go to Options | Properties in the Volume control and select Recording and press OK. This will display the Recording Control. This is where you can select your recording input.
