if you right click on the sound icon in the systray you
access "Audio Properties."

Under "Recording"- "Advanced Properties" it talks about
Sample Rate Conversion Quality. the slider goes from
Good to Best.

my question is: How exactly does this relate to being in SF
and setting the sample rate to 44kHz - as an example??

..do i have to worry 'bout this setting??

..i'm using an SB-AWE64 and i can't seem to set it
to best

I FOUND THAT IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH YOUR SOUND (warbling),IN
YOUR SOUND FORGE 4.5 SOFTWARE YOU CAN GO TO DEVICE MANAGER,SOUND,VIDEO
AND GAME CONTROLLERS.GO TO THE SOUND CARD,THEN TO SETTINGS,TURN ON,
ALLOW FULL-DUPLEXOPERATION.THEN IN YOUR SOUND FORGE PREVIEW ZOOMED
TOTALLY IN OR OUT.THIS WILL ELIMINATE ALL THE DISTORTED NOISE IN YOUR
WAVE FILE.
