I just finished my first project and added markers to indicate tracks. I can't seem to find where I can extract them separately to a CD-R.

There's a Burn-Track-at-Once option but it burns everything as one single track. I noticed it will only play on certain players and I can't fast forward through it.

How can I save each track individually?

You would be better using CD Architect for this, which is 'included' with SF7. Can't remember how/if SF7 did DAO multiple track discs.

I tried to find the CD Architect option and couldn't. I checked the HELP ABOUT and it's definitely Sound Forge Audio Studio ver 7.0

I guess it's strictly an editing program? Maybe it's designed to work with a single track??? I guess I'll have to import the entire Track-At-Once into another program and divide it up. I thought that I was doing that with the markers? Why would it ask for a title if it wasn't another track?. Seems radical. Plus, I'm afraid if I export it I'll lose some of the quality in the re-make. Maybe I purchased the wrong software??? I think SONY has another one for music.

CD Architect is a separate application, it's not just a feature of Sound Forge. I can't remember when it was first bundled with SF - I think it was version 7.0. If you got it on CD, CDA should be on the same CD. If you downloaded SF 7.0 (like I did), you should have received an installation code for CDA in your receipt email.

SF7 is indeed a 2-track editor but you can work with many stereo tracks.

Reviewing the manual should help you to understand what the markers and other features actually do – as you've discovered, markers are NOT "track markers" for burning a CD. You need another program for that (CDA being one of the best but there are many others, some free).

Exporting and importing to another program will not degrade your audio files unless you've got some strange problem within your system that might cause corruption of some sort.

Thanks for the info. I checked the supplied CD (mine wasn't a download) and I didn't see any extras except some common utilities. Guess I'll contact tech support-perhaps they'll supply the Architect on disk or download.
Also thanks for the clarification on the 'markers' They are certainly helpful nonetheless. Took me forever to start learning the program. So far the editing has proven itself better over other programs I've used.

I'm not sure if CD-A was included with Audio Studio. Only the full versions of SF-7, 8 & 9.
Ahead's Nero can read the Markers or Regions and turn them into CD tracks and burn Disc At Once. However CD-A is much easier AND faster to work with.

rraud, you are right. I had assumed he was using the full version of SF, not SF Audio Studio.

Everyone-You are correct. SONY has contacted me after I e-mailed the UPC Code from my Audio Studio version. It doesn't include CD Architect since it's not a Full Version. I just wish I knew this limitation was there upon my purchase. I assumed creating tracks would be a basic utility included with the package. It's still a great program but I'll have to do some exporting or use the Nero as previously mentioned. Thanks for all the input/help. Dave

Instructions on converting makers/regions to tracks in NERO.
post from 2003. I assume it will work in later versions of Nero.
As I recall, Nero is slow at converting makers to trk.s. When burning, use Disc-at-Once mode
