Audio pool for project files? -ACID Product Family

Subject:Audio pool for project files? Posted by: ohmaya Date:12/31/2007 11:53:10 AM I wondered if there is any way to change the way Acid organizes project media, sort of like Cubase. What I mean is not having to go into the OPTIONS>FOLDERS every time I start a new project to change the destination folder(s). It would be great to be able to create one project folder for all media (the project file, recorded audio files, rendered audio, etc) when you create a new project so all of the related project files are in one folder. Sometimes I forget to change the folders and my recorded files end up scattered all over the place. Am I missing something or is there not currently a way to do this without changing the Folder options every time I start a new project? Thanks!

When I started a new project, the first thing it did was ask me what folders I would like to put the project files in. What is workaround in Acid Pro? Just try to remember to go and and do it manually every time I start a new project? Come on ....three days and no replies - are you all still hung over? :)

Reply by: Patrick@Denman Date:1/3/2008 1:47:08 PM On the Preferences > Folder Tab, select Use separate defaults for each type of project media save and set each media type to <Project> (which is the default), then ACID should save all of your recorded media to your project folder. Is that what you're looking for?

So then I just have to set the projext folder in PREFERENCE>FOLDERS to a different folder for each project. Will Acid remeber the project folder for different projects when I close a project and go back to it later pr do I have to reset it every time I re-open the project? Acid doesn't save the designated project folder with the project. The previous project defaults to the current folder when you re-open it...
