iTTUSB Turntable Recording Stuttering sound -Sound Forge - PC

I'm trying to record music off of our old vinyl LPs using this turntable. The software included with the turntable works great, but I was hoping to use Sony's software to process the minor dust clicks out of the recording. The problem is that with Sony's software, the music stutters as it's recorded, which doesn't happen with the included application that came with the iTTUSB turntable. Does anyone have any ideas why this might be occuring and if there is something that one can do to eliminate the stutter? This turntable uses a USB connection to the computer.
