Subject:Drum Machine

Does anyone use a drum machine (PC type) to produce rythm tracks?
I may be missing something here but I want to lay a drum track, not looped but a varying rythm, then
add some live didgeridoo to it.

I do the same kind of thing you are talking about. I use
Rebirth by Propellerheads http://www.propellerheads.se to
create beats. It's a virtual drum machine. I tend to use
it only to create click tracks or beat tracks, then save
that as a .wav file and open it in Acid. I then jam on my
didg to this rhythm and add shaker stuff or whatever. I
take those .wav and make loops out of them at times, but I
use the drum machine file created from Rebirth as the
rhythm guide. I may later go back to Rebirth and create
some more beats and take it back to Acid or take my mixdown
files to Wavelab or Cubase.
