transfer a license from one user to another -ACID Product Family

Been using ACID Pro 2.0 for about six months and I am very happy with the product. I had ACID Music prior to that, and shortly afterwards ACID Pro 2.0. I did not upgrade to ACID Pro 2.0, so I have two licensed versions of ACID in my name. What I want to do now is transfer the license of ACID Music to someone else. I suppose I could use the same name and all that for ACID Music going elsewhere, but ideally I would like to transfer this license to this other person so they at another time can take advantage of the upgrade option. I have not found in a search of Sonic Foundry the policy on the transfer of license, so I thought I might ask the question here and see if anyone has any experience on this matter. Some companies (esp for bigger programs) have a fee one pays to transfer the program license, others... well who knows. Thanks for any forthcoming reply. -john pemble http://sonicflow.com
Subject:Re: transfer a license from one user to another Reply by: Iacobus Date:12/29/2000 11:50:00 PM Hi John, Here's what it says on the paper sleeve that came with my copy of ACID (Pro), since I'm a stickler for detail and a fast typist: "Transfer Restrictions Licensee shall not assign, rent, lease, sell, sublicense or otherwise transfer the SOFTWARE to another party without prior written consent of Sonic Foundry. Any party authorized by Sonic Foundry to receive the SOFTWARE must agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Agreement."
