Another OT! There is now a group-buy for the VSTi, Wusikstation. Wusikstation is an interesting instrument. It is a rompler with wavesequencing, and is easy to edit. I really like the instrument, but I would suggest that you download the demo and try it yourself. The group-buy ends on Jan. 1, 2008, so act now if you are interested. The price is now $59.95. Here is the group-buy link: http://www.wusik.com/w/wsgb2.html What's Included: + Wusikstation V4 VSTi + Four Gig Collection + New Wusik Sample Editor + New Wusik VST Tools + New Wusik VM (VST Manager) + 20 Wusik Credits + ArtVera's NewAge Collection + Maestro Concert Grand Piano (you could buy it with credits) + General MIDI (GM) Set + Drumatoxin by ArtVera (I just got it for Christmas - $30) + MegaBass by Autodafe ($10 I believe) Wusik Credits can be used to download new sounds and/or Wusik Magazine issues from the wusik site. One credit = one download. (mostly) Also, mind you that V4 has SEVERAL improvements over previous versions. You can see the full list of releases here: http://www.wusik.com/w/releases.html Also, there are a bunch of YouTube Tutorial videos here: http://youtube.wusik.com/ And a new Introduction to Wusikstation video here: http://www.wusik.com/w/introvideo1.html Message last edited on12/29/2007 12:09:49 PM byDKeenum. |

This thing is just about always in group buy mode. WilliamK is famous for his continuous deals and exhortations to his fans to spam all available forums. |

Wake up on the wrong side of the bed there bro? You had one post about the SS2 group-buy and it was negative too. Don't like group-buys? I've got no shady motive here. No spam - just info. Click on my name and check my posts. Not interested? Just ignore. I really like the instrument and think it's a great way to buy it if you like it. But I don't think everybody should have it. Try the demo. |

I think it's great to pass along these deals. That's part of what a forum community is all about. The Sonik Synth 2 deal turned out to be an awesome buy with a ton of sounds. I can't wait to get it. Thanks for the info. ~jr |

You're right, I'm not a great fan of group buys. But my grumbling about two products recently is sheer coincidence ;-) I had heard poor reports about SS sound quality, and Wusikstation "news"is the audio world's equivalent of a "grow your p*nis" email. Which is not to say either is rubbish. Just part of the wonderful world of opinion. |

And each to his own. That's why there are so many different VST instruments. Nobody says you've got to like group-buys. So no problem my friend. We acid heads gotta stick together! I do think you have a point about Williams emails, but he is also very helpful. I had a problem with an update, and he downloaded the acid pro demo and fixed wusikstation.. all in less than one day. I was pretty impressed. So, saying that, you may want to check out the wusik forum over at kvraudio: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=41 I guess it is like joining a community. Ya might want to see if you like the people (wink). |

No one can fault WilliamK on his energy levels ! He's always got something on the boil. I suppose if you're trying to make a living from the warez-infested VSTi market you need to keep hustling. DKeenum, are you on KvR under a different name ? Message last edited on11/30/2007 7:58:16 PM byalltheseworlds. |

sometimes pristine audio quality is undesired... some folks like the distortion and the old school phat/phasey sound. |

I do hang around kvr from time to time. I go by the name of Wusikstation_Fanboy (wink, wink). BTW, WilliamK added the new Maestro 1.8 Gig Piano to the extra sounds. So the extras include the ArtVera New Age Collection, the GM soundset, and the Maestro Piano. The current price is $69.95, but I feel confident the 100 make will be soon. Downloads begin when the number reaches 100. Here is the link for the piano: http://www.wusik.com/products/wsm/mp3s/Wsm019/Maes tro_Gig_Grand.mp3 |

Well, since we're talking pianos, I have been checking out the demo of TruePianos and am most impressed. It's currently 20% off Christmas special: [url]http://www.truepianos.com/downloads.php Message last edited on12/5/2007 6:56:03 PM byalltheseworlds. |

I've heard good things about TruePianos. Its supposed to be very low on CPU. I know Kontakt with my SampleTek pianos can really eat some juice! |

The Wusikstation group buy reached it's lowest number, so the price is $59.95 (usd), and the list of extras is big! As of right now the number is at 118. If the GB goes over 200 everybody in the GB gets the following added to their bounty: Free WusikXtation Preorder (not released yet): a very advanced VST Host/Sequencer. Lets you organize and load multiple VSTs and also features its own sequencer. + Drumatoxin by ArtVera: a collection of electronically processed drum and percussive sounds created by Vera Kinter (Artvera) and Daniel Kemp (dnekm). Visit ArtVera’s site for more information and MP3 Examples: http://www.artvera-music.com/ + Extra 20 Wusik Credits. Here is the GB page. Check the details: http://www.wusik.com/w/wsgb2.html To show what Wusikstaion sounds like, I decided to do a song using only Wusikstation. I did use an udu loop from sampletank and one of Kenny Gioia's High Hat loops. Everything else is Wusikstation., and, of course, it's all done in Acid Pro 6! I want to bump this one last time, because the Group Buy ends on January 1st, 2008. |
