SO YOU THINK RECORDING AUDIO IN ACID IS THE SAME AS CUBASE? ONLY BECAUSE I HEARD SOME PEOPLE SAY THE QUALITY IS NOT AS GOOD WHEN RECORDING IN ACID. |

Hi Mario, Well, there _may_ be a slight difference because the latest version of Cubase processes all audio data internally at 32- bits. But the thing that is going to affect the quality of your audio the most is your sound card. Best, Scott -- Scott R. Sounds like you memory (ram) is crashing. Does any other programs cause the problem? Have you loaded any new utilities lately? The only utility I have installed is Norton Utilites 2000. Note: I *do not* have anything running in the background while ACID Pro is running. Only Explorer and Systray are running other than ACID. I had thought maybe it was my RAM too. I did a RAM check via NU, but it could not find any errors in the RAM. Things seem to have subsided a little for some reason, though the one project still crashes. Iacobus Bert Guidry wrote: >>Sounds like you memory (ram) is crashing. I would suggest that you contact tech support to get to the root of the problem. Is there something that you can do which will reproduce the problem consistently? Are you getting any meter movement while you are recording? (keep in mind that the machine noise of your computer will consistently move the meters)- try recording something loud. If you don't have significant meter movement perhaps the port you are recording from somehow got muted. Dear John: If you wanted to record your mix I would suggest that you simply go to file/save as and for the save as type select mixed .wav file. This will mix all of your tracks down to either a stereo or mono .wav file depending on what you select. May want to check to see if you have any memory resident programs (antivirus, etc.) that is using too much RAM |
