i just got acid hip hop 2.0, and i'm trying out some things. my question is how do you split up parts of a loop for a song without having to edit the wav file? right now i'm looking at the M.O..acd demo song in theAcid Hip Hop cd (in the Product Info\Demo_Songs\ folder). the song uses the MAC MONEY Scratch 14 loop, and it splits up parts of it up in the track (kinda like making a vocal loop go "what-what-what's my name"). go here for a window capture of what i'm looking at, with the MAC MONEY Scratch 14 loop a bit zoomed in: http://wiseboy.virtualave.net/acid.gif so how do you do it? thanks. |

Well, zoom into the loop at the point that you want to split. Put the cursor at the point you want to split. You may then either right click your mouse and then choose split at cursor or push the s key on your keyboard. You need to do this on each side of the point that you wish to split. Secondly you need to copy the part you want by first selecting the split part then holding down the control button and dragging the copied segment into different part of the notes. You can then to use your example make a loop go "wha wha wh whats my name." |

Use the LOOP markers to (blue strip)position the exact part you want, then use "Mix to new" track command.
