Well with all the programs out I decided to go with ACID Pro 6. Heard nothing but great things about this program. So anyways, here's my 1st newbie question....lol.

How do I Access the loops? This is the major reason I bought the program. Is there a way to drop them into the host so they are always available to me? I'm using this in conjunction with Traction 3 btw. I'm using Windows XP SP2, duel Core, 4 megs ram.

Any help would indeed be appreciated.

TIA
Gabriel

Copy them from the install CD into a directory on your hard drive. They're just .wav files so no installation is necessary.

Hi and thanks for the reply. I kind of figured it out for myself after messing with it for a bit. I made a new folder in the AcidPro 6 file where the groove folder is and named it "loops and samples". I then imported them into ACID host from that directory. Only problem is It seperates the genre's but doesn't tell me what instruments they are. Is there a way to fix this or is this just how it is in ACID?

Thanks again
Gabriel

Gabriel,

You may find that you pick up a lot of loops. I moved my loops to another drive and use acid's explorer to access them.

Thanks DK, I'll give that a shot also. Anyways I started mesing with it finally last night. Just finishing up a CD project so I didn't have much time beforehand. Man, I love this program!! Still exploring it, lots of hidden goodies to be found :).
It's actually very similar to Traction 3 which is my main host so moving around is pretty easy!!
