Subject:firewire external hard drives and ACID

Has anyone tried running ACID on a firewire HD? I was
wondering if they were fast enough. I like the fact that I
don't have to open up my machine to install it (I already
have firewire ports and I'm out of places to park another
HD) and it also makes upgrading to a new computer simpler.
My 8G D drive is just too small so I'll be upgrading it to
a 30-45G hard drive soon anyway. Thanks!
