Subject:audio editor

i just got acid and i can't figure out what to do with the
loops. how do i write my own music, or musical melody
lines? i am assuming it is through the "audio editor" icon,
but it doesn't specify an editor. can someone help me
please? what is this audio editor, and did it come with the
prog, or do i need to download one? and then how do i make
the music? thanks
