Since your profile is empty it is a bit difficult to say what might be wrong with your system. I would guess that when you play ACID, the MIDI sounds are coming from the hardware on your soundcard or perhaps external MIDI hardware. ACID cannot record these MIDI sounds because they are not generated by a soft synth/VSTi. You have to route the output of your MIDI hardware to the audio inputs off ACID and record them as audio so that they can be included in the finale wav or mp3 output. ~jr |

ok i guess i understand i dont know how to reroute the output into input but does that mean with the windows settings or just open another record box with softsynth an record i have an alesis photon x25 so i guess ill mess around with the inputs for a while and then try it thru my alesis 8 mixer right into acid as record file |

> ok i guess i understand i dont know how to reroute the output into input but does that mean with the windows settings or just open another record box with softsynth an record What are you using to generate MIDI sounds? Soft Synths/VSTi's.? Hardware MIDI module? You should not have to do anything if you are using Soft Synths/VSTi's. You need to route the audio output of and external MIDI devices into the audio input of your computer to record them. > i have an alesis photon x25 so i guess ill mess around with the inputs for a while and then try it thru my alesis 8 mixer right into acid as record file As far as I can see the Alesis Photon x25 is a MIDI controller and Audio interface but does not have any MIDI sounds of it's own. I could be wrong (just looking through the web) > i dont know how to update my info sorry Look up at the top of the web page you are now viewing. Under the SONY logo is a menu bar. Hover your mouse over My Acount and click System Information. Fill out that page and press Submit. ~jr Message last edited on12/12/2007 5:17:57 AM byJohnnyRoy. |
