I currently have Rudy Sarzo's Working Man's Bass, but I want a good hard rock, metal type bass loops that go above 140bpm on WAV format. Is there any out there? |

I think metal above 140 bpm is going to be a specialized library. I looked through the sony bass libraries, and I didn't see anything that will meet your needs. Have you googled it? It seems that someone somewhere would have done this. |

I have a reasonably good collection of rock loops, and I found almost nothing containing bass loops at 140bpm or higher. There are a handful in the Nu Metal City collection (Big Fish Audio) at 145 and 156 bpm, and around 30 pure bass loops at 140 and 145 bpm in the Raw Power collection (Loopmasters). But actually, if you're talking about metal loops, almost all the loops labelled "metal" are in fact medium tempo. Heavy screeching guitars and hard-plucked bass, but usually in the 92-96 bpm range. Seems like you'll have to be creative and use sampled single notes to make your own fast-tempo bass loops. |

Scarbee has some great bass sets if you have Kontakt, but there is a vsti with samples included called ManyBass (http://www.manytone.com/). It has built-in amp and effects, so you can dial in your metal sound. Sounds great to me. |
