Subject:ASIO Sound Driver Problem

I have a Digi002 Rack that I use as my sound card with ACID. My problem is that the ASIO drivers seem to have taken over the PCs sound so that I can’t get any sound out of it outside of ACID.

In other words, if I just play an MP3 file without ever opening ACID, no sound comes out in real player or whatever. ACID/Digi002 Rack seem to have the sound locked up on my audio pc. I need to be able to listen to music outside of ACID.

Thoughts on what might be going on?

It sounds like the Digi002 became the default Windows sound device. To change this in Windows go into Start | Control Panel | Sounds and Audio Devices | Audio tab and under Sound Playback / Default Device select your motherboard sound chip (whatever device you want Windows sounds to come out of). Press Apply and you should be all set.
