Subject:To Acid or Not to Acid Posted by: zoophly Date:8/2/2000 2:19:00 PM I m debating whether or not i should buy any acid product because im not sure if it will be able to do what i want to do. So this is what i want to do..... I have a four track recorder that i use for recording guitar, voice and keyboard. I know i can make them into .wavs but i want to know if acid will be able to play a 3:00 minute guitar track. So someone please answer me back.

Acid is not a "multitracking" program, and may not be best suited for the hard disk recording, such as a 3 minute guitar recording. However, as long as you limit the amount of tracks that are disk- based, Acid will work out for you. Thanks. Some of my songs have over 40 tracks, and take up 60 MB or more of RAM. My computer specs are Windows 98, Pentium III 450 MHz, 128 MB RAM and 12 GB hard disk space. I think Acid is the easiest tool I've found for multitrack recording, and I am surprised that it is not marketed to multitrack homerecording users with that in mind. I m debating whether or not i should buy any acid product

I forgot to mention that you need more than just Acid, of course. I
