Subject:SERIAL NUMBER

I PURCHASED A SONIC FOUNDRY ACID MUSIC PROGRAM , ABOUT A
YEAR AGO.SINCE THEN I HAVE UNINSTALLED THE PROGRAM AND LOST
THE SERIAL NUMBER AND ANY PROOF OF PURCHASE. CAN ANY ONE OUT
THERE PROVIDE ME WITH A SERIAL NUMBER THAT MIGHT WORK SO I
CAN RELOAD THIS PROGRAM THAT I PAID A BUTT LOAD
FOR?....SASLOCOM@USWEST.NET THANK YOU

Hi.

If you have no proof of purchase, no serial number, no manual, and no
registration history then unfortunately we cannot give you a serial
number to use our software.

Isn't this **danger to loose everything** bigger if you download
software instead of buying a hardware CD in a paperbox in a local
store ?

In case of download software for *money* it is a must to record it on
CD (with a textfile with the optional serial number granted by the
purchase), to print the electronic document which mentions the granted
serial number, and to keep the credit card bills forever (not just for
6 months or so)

What a burden !

Hello Rolf!

I actually don't work for the Customer Service department (who does
the software sales) I am located in Technical Support... but, if you
buy software directly from us (in a downloadable format) we keep it
on our files forever therefore if you lose your serial number, you
could give us a call at 1-800-57SONIC extension #3 to get it back, so
luckily, as far as I know, this has never been a problem when you buy
software directly from us.
