Subject:Bug with panning, FX and volume envelope ribbons?

Is this a bug as it's really annoying.

Setup a pan, fx or volume envelope on a sample by hitting
the shortcut keys to show them visibily.

Now here's the problem, you're staring at 4 envelopes and
to get to say, volume, you have to turn off the other three.

Do that with the shortcut keys.

great, all fine and dandy, change your volume, but turn the
envelopes back on and WHAMMO - All your settings have been
reset to 0.

Simply put, just hit V, change the volume, hit V (off) and
V (on) and it's been reset to 0.

I think this is a bug? Is there a hidden setting to stop
this?

thanks
bat

Hello Peter.

Yes, this is correct.

I will mention this to our Acid Team to see if we can find a better
way of doing it in future versions.

I don't use Acid much, but, when I do, I usually insert my volume
envelope first, make my changes, and then I add panning afterwards,
and make those changes. As long as you move the last inserted
envelope a bit up or a bit down, you can work around the start
position.

Thanks.

Hi Peter-

Actually, this one was by design.

When one uses the V shortcut, what is happening is that it creates a
volume envelope. When one hits V again, it destroys the volume
envelope. If you're looking to HIDE the envelope, rather than
removing it, just choose View|DisplayEnvelopes|Volume from the pull-
down menus. This is slightly more cumbersome than the hotkey V, I
agree. For future versions, we'll see if there can be a shortcut
dedicated to displaying/removing envelopes..

Thanks,
Joel
