Dear ACID Users !

I want to record guitar tracks one at a time - but I need
to listen to tracks I have recorded previously so that I
can play along and record additional track alongside what I
have already recorded to build up a song.

I don't think I can do this in SoundForge. Can anyone
recommend the right product for me ? Will I need any
special hardware - or can this be done with software
solutions on simple hardware.

Cheers

Adrian.

Well, I would do this in ACID, since the recording in ACID is okay.
The problem is always to listen to the previous tracks while
recording with a microphone (if you are not having the guitar lined,
hope not:)) since you do dont want the feedback recorded either. So,
the normal solution is to use headphones but then you might not hear
what you are playing yourself... SO in oder to fix this you will
probably need a soundcard or drivers to the soundcard that will let
you listen to the Input at the same time you are listening to the
output... I only know that Soundblaster Live works excellent. I have
no problems.
